ARCH1201 Project 2 Room and Narrative

Final analysis:

Featured Detailing:

The doors and windows of the space are represented in the form of small openings. This not only represents the simplicity of the space but overall the simplicity of the design considered for a servant girl's working space.

The light, these openings allow in, is specifically designed for the girls activities and them only, showing the lack of consideration towards the girl. However, the light is direct and full of purpose.

The interior is modelled with texture as a rough excavated space, which is only opened up enough for the girl to perform her duties.

Timber reinforcing is used only where neccesary such as; a structural element to hold up a narrow doorway, or the cage structure of needed storage space.
